Danielle Timmins is a data strategist, ethical AI advocate, and Founder | Chief Digital, Data & Analytics Officer at Freerange Creatives, a digital and AI agency with offices in Cape Town and Amsterdam, working at the intersection of creativity, data, and inclusion. She is an on-demand speaker, chair and moderator of data & AI conferences and events. She is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, as well as an active member of AIFOD (AI Forum for Developing Countries). With deep roots in both Africa and Europe, Danielle has spent her career straddling two vastly different realities: one defined by regulatory frameworks and privilege, the other by limited access to essential services like healthcare and education. Danielle has seen firsthand how AI can, and must, be reimagined to meet the needs of the Global South. Her work is grounded in the belief that dignity, not disruption, should be the north star of AI development. She speaks passionately about shifting the global AI narrative to include voices and contexts that are too often left out - and about building a future where AI serves everyone, not just the privileged few.
